Congratulations to the 25 students that were selected to participate in this year's District Band event. This is the largest number from G.W. in a few years, and we are so proud of our musicians. The concert was held at Martinsville High School February 1st, and the students represented our school and community very well. Of the 25 students, 6 students qualified to audition for the Virginia All State Band. Auditions were held February 22nd at James Madison University.
Congratulations to Nick Johnson for being selected to the Virginia All State Concert Band. The event will be held April 3-5 at Virginia Tech. We are so proud of him and his accomplishments as he represents our band, school, and community.
